AdvanceD Palaeoart Workshop
Purpose In Paleoart:
Science Communication and Beyond!

The advent of the Internet has seen an enormous increase in palaeoartistic output, with whole communities popping up on various platforms. Much of this production is hobbyists expressing their love and ideas of prehistoric life, but this has also led to a new generation of professional palaeoartists that are facing more visual challenges and increasing pressure from AI slop flooding online spaces.
In this workshop we are investigating how you can make your pieces stand out even without the hyperrealism of large language models and how to adapt your compositions to work in the contexts you might be commissioned for, from large scale murals to Instagram reels. At the end of the day I want to offer a look into paleoart done for pure artistic expression and the joy that can be derived from it, when the sole purpose is self expression.
This workshop is only on Sunday 26th July, 2:30pm-4:30pm.
You must hold a valid DinoCon 2026 ticket that covers Sunday attendance AND an Advanced Palaeoart Workshop ticket to attend this workshop.
1 ticket purchased = 1 person participating in the workshop.
Individuals under the age of 18 must not be left unattended at the workshop.
This workshop may not be suitable for children aged 12 and under.
If you are attending the workshop with someone who is under 18 years old, or you are a care attendant and hold a carer’s ticket, you only need to purchase an additional ticket for yourself if you wish to participate in this workshop.
DinoCon attendees will only be able to access to this workshop if:
They have a valid Advanced Palaeoart Workshop ticket.
They are not participating in the workshop but are accompanying someone who is under 18 years old who has a valid Advanced Palaeoart Workshop ticket.
They are not participating in the workshop but hold’s a carer’s ticket and are accompanying someone who they are the personal care attendant of who has a valid Advanced Palaeoart Workshop ticket.
